Our multi-medium filtration system is specifically engineered for groundwater and well water with excessive iron and manganese content. High concentrations of these minerals can cause yellow discoloration, metallic odors, stained laundry, pipeline scaling, and equipment corrosion.
This integrated filter utilizes layered composite filter materials including manganese sand, quartz sand, and anthracite. It achieves catalytic oxidation and graded physical filtration in a single tank, effectively removing iron, manganese, sediment, rust, and suspended impurities without chemical additives. The built-in automatic backwashing function enables 24-hour unattended operation, making it suitable as standalone purification equipment or as pre-treatment for RO and ultrafiltration water treatment systems.
When raw well water passes through the manganese sand layer, manganese dioxide acts as a catalyst to convert soluble ferrous and manganese ions into insoluble solid oxides. Subsequent multi-layer graded filter media intercept all oxidized metal precipitates, colloids, and fine silt. Once the internal pressure difference reaches the threshold or the preset operation cycle ends, the equipment automatically initiates backwashing and rinsing to discharge trapped contaminants, restore filtering performance, and ensure continuous stable water output.
