Detailed Specifications & Features
Mini EDI Electrodeionization System For Laboratory Ultra-pure Water Units
Product Overview

This mini EDI electrodeionization system is compact deep deionization equipment designed for bench-top laboratory ultrapure water machines. It is ideal for university labs, chemical analysis rooms, biological testing labs, and pharmaceutical R&D institutions where precision experiments, HPLC, cell culture, and analytical instrument cleaning demand Type I high-resistivity ultrapure water.

Unlike traditional mixed resin beds that require frequent acid and alkali regeneration with complicated maintenance, this system adopts mini integrated EDI membrane stack technology to continuously remove trace ions, silica, and TOC from RO effluent, producing high-purity water without chemical regeneration. With its tiny footprint, low power consumption, and plug-and-play assembly, it serves as the core polishing module for lab bench ultrapure water equipment.

Working Principle

RO pre-treated pure water flows into the mini EDI membrane stack where internal mixed ion exchange resins adsorb residual anions and cations. A DC electric field drives directional ion migration through selective ion exchange membranes. Impurity ions are concentrated and discharged via concentrate channels, while resins automatically regenerate electrically without acid and alkali dosing.

Online resistivity sensors monitor outlet water purity and feed back to the control module to adjust operating voltage, maintaining stable high-resistivity output. The entire circulation runs automatically to supply consistent ultrapure water for daily laboratory tests.
